Guo was engaged in the law practice in 1983. He worked at Beijing Haiwen and Beijing Kerry. He specializes in securities, corporate mergers and acquisitions, investment, intellectual property, civil and economic laws.

Guo has experience working in the railway sector and was in China Unicom management for many years. Guo was one of the earlier practitioners involved in the securities. He is familiar with business management, company and securities law practice, specializing in handling state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, joint-stock restructuring, asset restructuring of mergers and acquisitions.
